‘Who are you?’: Princess Beatrice’s touching moment with unaware fan

Princess Beatrice has shared a touching moment with an elderly grandmother who was unaware of the Princess’s royal status.

The endearing interaction took place during Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last weekend and was captured by an unknown royal fan who shared the video to the social media platform, TikTok.

The video sees a beautifully dressed Princess Beatrice speaking with a royal fan before an elderly grandmother lightly grabs her on the arm and asks who she is.

The humble Princess, neither caught off guard nor offended by the grandmother’s question, replied, “My name’s Beatrice. And the Queen is my granny”, as she held the grandmother’s hands between her own in a heart-warming gesture.

“You’re one of the royalties?”, the grandma asked, endearingly unaware of the Princess’s royal status.

“I am, yes. She’s my granny”, Beatrice replied, smiling widely as she enjoyed the impromptu interaction.

The grandmother replied, “Oooh you’re very lucky” [to have the Queen as her grandmother], to which a sweet Beatrice agreed wholeheartedly, “I’m very very lucky”.

The adorable video has already racked up an overwhelming 210,000 likes on TikTok after the video was posted to the platform via @royalfamilyfanpage5.

Fans wasted no time commenting with messages of praise and love for the Princess as they acknowledged her “sweet” and “personable” nature.

“She [Beatrice] is so underrated tbh! but i love how she is doing her duty even tho she is not part of the senior royals she’s still doing her duties”, one fan wrote.

“See how elegantly she takes control of the hand that tries to hold her so now she is holding the hand”, another fan noted.

“How lovely is Beatrice! She didn’t say she was a princess or anything, just said the queen is her granny! Very sweet.”

Other royal commentators weren’t so friendly with their messages, with a number of fans pointing out Beatrice’s choice of words when asked about her royal relations.

Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie have often been criticised for their father’s notorious connection to convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
