About Mike Henry

Mike Henry has had a keen interest in writing, travel, languages, food and exotic cultures from an early age. He is widely travelled and has visited over 50 countries in many diverse locations such as Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Born in Ireland and raised in England, he lived and worked in Scandinavia in his teens then travelled overland to Australia and has made this his home since 1966. He has worked in many fields including horticulture, finance, hospitality and catering before retiring in 2013. He now enjoys life by keeping busy with his writing and is also a member of a seniors’ singing group. He plans to publish a memoir before old age claims his many memories.
