The Princess of Wales delighted royal fans by hosting her highly-anticipated Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on Friday December 6, bringing festive cheer and celebrating the spirit of the season.

Dressed elegantly in a festive red coat adorned with a striking black bow and buttons, Catherine joined her family for the cherished annual tradition.

This year’s concert honoured the vital support people provide to one another during challenging times—a deeply meaningful theme for the Princess, who stepped back from public duties for much of 2024 as she battled cancer.

In a heartfelt letter, Catherine expressed gratitude to the 1,600 attendees invited for their remarkable efforts in helping others in their communities.

“The Christmas story encourages us to consider the experiences and feelings of others,” Catherine wrote.

“It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences.”

Royal fans were quick to praise Catherine for her dedication to the carol service despite her health battle, with many overjoyed to see her back in the spotlight.

“So wonderful to see the family back together. Take it easy no pressure health & family come first,” one wrote.

“What a beautiful looking family ♥️ the children are growing up so fast and look so lovely.. as for Catherine how wonderful to see her looking happy and totally dedicated to this yearly Carol service. She shines like a beautiful star.”

“Absolutely wonderful to see HRH The Princess of Wales looking happy and healthy! Such a beautiful family. Merry Christmas to all from the USA,” commented another.

“All you need is love. Very happy to see this.”

Catherine has hosted the carol service since it began in 2021. In years past, Princess Catherine has transformed the Christmas carol concert into a poignant tribute, honouring the memory of the late Queen Elizabeth and shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes who tirelessly navigated the challenges of the global pandemic.

In 2021, Catherine surprised those in attendance with her very first public performance on the piano, playing For Those Who Can’t Be Here with Scottish singer Tom Walker for the carols event.

People reported that Catherine had found great solace and “comfort” in playing the piano, particularly during the pandemic, as she used to play as a child.
