The Beast breaks his silence! Mark Labbett reveals new romance with TV star Hayley Palmer

The Chase star Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett may be off the market after the TV star has been spotted cosying up with TV present Hayley Palmer.

A source has told The Mirror that it’s still the “early days” of their relationship but confirmed that the couple is having “a lot of fun together”.

“They have been friends for some time and recently things developed into something more. Mark and Hayley share similar interests and have a lot of fun together. Mark and Hayley have kept things low key but this week they headed out on a day-date,” the source revealed.

When asked how his life has been now with his new relationship, the 57-year-old father of one admitted that he was struggling with his time.

“I’m on the road so much, plus the little matter of a six-year-old boy that I co-parent, so I try to spend as much time as I can with him,” he told The Mirror.

“I’m going out to film in America next month, and I’m already planning what I’m doing in July and August with Katie to see what weeks work.”

News of Labbett’s budding romance comes months after the quiz master took to Twitter to share that he was open to finding love again after revealing that he spent his Valentine’s Day speed dating.

However, Labbett previously admitted he wasn’t in a hurry to be in a relationship.

Speaking to The Sun, Labett shared that he thought would be difficult to start a romantic relationship as he is “married to his work”.

“I’m single, I say I’m married to my work…Right now I’m really appreciating ‘me’ time,” he said.

“To be fair I’m also away from home 150 days a year filming, so it would be tough to have a relationship even if I wanted to.

“I’m generally enjoying life and loving being a father and doing all of that”.

This wouldn’t be the first time Labbett’s love life has been put under the spotlight.

Back in 2020, his relationship status once again made headlines after it was announced that he and his now ex-wife Katie had decided to call it quits on their marriage, citing their 27-year age gap and stress from the pandemic lockdowns as the cause.

Months after his split, Labbett was then reportedly set to star in a reality series called Celebs Go Dating. 

“Mark has been very open about the fact he’s not especially romantic. Flirting doesn’t come easily to him but he’s open to finding love again,” a source told The Sun. 

“He’s a big lovable giant with a heart of gold but his dating adventures will be something to behold.”
