Mark Labbett goes from ‘The Chase’ to ‘The Chaser’ as he tries his hand at speed dating

It appears that The Chase star Mark ‘The Beast” Labbett is open to finding love again after revealing that he spent his Valentine’s Day speed dating.

Taking to Twitter the 57-year-old quizmaster shared that he set out to do a chase of his own, after being “roped into” a local single’s night.

A few of Labbett’s followers were quick to reply to his tweet, jokingly making comments about his dating situation.

Others left comments saying Labett would “be the smartest guy there” and that the other participants “won’t be able to answer the question in time!”

A handful of his fans also wished The Beast good luck, with one user saying “lucky ladies indeed. I hope you had a good time anyway.”

Labbett’s latest dating adventure comes weeks after he previously stated he wasn’t in a hurry to be in a relationship.

Speaking to The Sun, Labett admitted it would be difficult to start a romantic relationship as he is “married to his work”.

“I’m single, I say I’m married to my work…Right now I’m really appreciating ‘me’ time,” he said.

“To be fair I’m also away from home 150 days a year filming, so it would be tough to have a relationship even if I wanted to.

“I’m generally enjoying life and loving being a father and doing all of that”.

This wouldn’t be the first time Labbett’s love life has been put under the spotlight.

Back in 2020, his relationship status once again made headlines after it was announced that he and his now ex-wife Katie had decided to call it quits on their marriage, citing their 27-year age gap and stress from the pandemic lockdowns as the cause.

Months after his split, the father of one was then reportedly set to star in a reality series called Celebs Go Dating. 

“Mark has been very open about the fact he’s not especially romantic. Flirting doesn’t come easily to him but he’s open to finding love again,” a source told The Sun. 

“He’s a big lovable giant with a heart of gold but his dating adventures will be something to behold.”

Since his divorce, Labette has not been reported to have any new romantic connections.
