Guitar heroes! Robert Irwin shares sweet music video with niece Grace

Robert Irwin has shared a precious clip to Instagram of him playing the guitar with his sweet niece, Grace Warrior.

In the clip, Grace – Bindi Irwin’s daughter with husband Chandler Powell – is wearing an adorable marle-grey ribbed romper with little black-and-white sheep printed across it, and sitting in a matching pale-blue-and-white sheep prop.

The clip shows doting uncle Robert teaching the tiny Irwin some chords on the guitar. Robert encourages Grace to try strumming the maple-toned guitar.

“There you go. Good job Grace! Yay, good job!” he exclaims enthusiastically.

“Ready? Now D chord. Try D chord? It’s a bit trickier.” Grace plucks at the strings.

“Oooh, good finger control. There you go, good stuff,” Robert says, carefully eyeing the gorgeous bub, as she leans away from the guitar.

“We’re going to do a Cadd9, try that one,” Robert says, as Grace strums the strings.

“There we go, Cadd9. Learning all the chords!” Robert says, as he glances to the camera.

Grace strums the guitar again, very loudly. “Good job!” Robert exclaims.

“What about an E? Can you finish up with an E? Yep, chord, there you go. Good job.”

Little Grace flails her arms, trying to play with the guitar, then the video closes with one final cheeky giggle from Grace, as she looks to the camera.

Proper guitar playing was always going to be a stretch for the six-month-old, but Grace showed a keen interest and really gave it a red hot go!

Mum Bindi left a comment on Robert’s Instagram post, saying “This video!!! So proud.”

Bindi, Chandler and Robert have all shared many of Grace’s milestones on their respective Instagram and Twitter accounts, with Bindi recently adding a post that paid tribute to her father Steve Irwin. In the post, Bindi revealed that whenever Grace sees her late grandfather Steve, “Grandpa Crocodile”, on the television, “she lights up”.

Bindi and Chandler were married in a secret ceremony amid lockdowns in March, 2020.
