Santa’s little helpers! Elton John’s kids star in quirky family Christmas video

Elton John is clearly feeling the Christmas spirit in his latest social media video, sporting a jolly Santa suit and lip syncing the lyrics to his own festive song. The fun video was a family event with his children Zachary, nine, and Elijah, seven, making a special and very rare appearance alongside the singer and Elton’s longterm partner David Furnish.

Fans were thrilled to catch a glimpse of Elton’s kids as the singer, 73, has long kept the two boys away from the public eye. The boys looked to be having a ball in the sweet video where they were both dressed up as elves wearing funky glasses while David, 58, donned a funny novelty blow-up costume with pudding-style sunglasses.

The family sung along to Elton’s Christmas song ‘Step into Christmas’ as they took part in the viral trend that sees people walk into a room and come back out moments later dressed in a festive costume. The family of four then finished the video with a cute dance train across the screen with the boys at the front and Elton at the back.

Elton captioned the video: “We were so inspired by all of your amazing #StepIntoChristmas videos, we made our own!”

Commenters and fans gushed over the ‘Candle in the Wind’ singer with one writing: “Such a gorgeous little family”. While another wrote: “Elton John coming on TikTok is the best thing to ever happen”.

Another commenter said: “God I love Elton John and his family”. While someone else joked: “Care to adopt me?”

The Christmas video isn’t the first time a festive occasion has called for a fun themed video as the family got together for Halloween in October to sing along to Elton’s song ‘Crocodile Rock’ while dressed in funny costumes.

Elton was dressed as Elvis Presley complete with a purple blazer, ruffled white shirt and black wig, while David wore Elton’s own famous Dodger Stadium baseball outfit and the couple’s two sons were dressed as crocodiles for the skit.
