Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to launch another scathing attack on Meghan Markle, only months after his explosive exit from Good Morning Britain, after calling the Duchess of Sussex a “liar”.

The controversial broadcaster reignited his feud with Markle after she apologised to a British court for previously claiming she had not contributed to the drafting of the controversial biography, Finding Freedom. Markle told the court she forgot she had authorised a former aide to brief the authors of the book.

Morgan tweeted several front-page headlines referring to the apology, alongside the caption, “I’ve now had 8 months to carefully reflect on my statement that I don’t believe a word Meghan Markle says, and I still don’t.”

He followed up the tweet by calling Markle’s behaviour “shameful”. “The ‘end game’ is that the Sussexes are stopped – by the Queen – from ruthlessly exploiting their royal titles for 100s of millions of dollars whilst simultaneously trashing the Royal Family & Monarchy. It’s shameful,” he said.

Twitter users were quick to come out in support of Morgan’s comments, commending him for speaking out.

One said, “Kudos to you Piers! This has validated everything you and others have said about her.”

While another said, “Piers you have been proven right all along on this. It will be interesting to see how she gets herself out of this situation. I doubt she can. Hopefully, she will now go and lead a quiet life, so we don’t have to hear from her again. Wishful thinking on that!”

And one added, “I find it quite astonishing that she forgot, surely she will have discussed this with her husband? He must have forgotten too.”

And also, “Piers you say what we are all thinking.”

However, many disagreed with his comments, with one asking, “Why do you care so much? There are so many other important things to develop high blood pressure over.”

Another said, “Still obsessed. Worryingly fixated on this girl.”

And one added, “Ok, ok, you win everything! Can you move on now please! Maybe you could put that same energy on Prince Andrew and his ‘forgetfulness’ too?”

Markle has always denied cooperating with the authors of the biography. But emails shown to the court reveal Meghan and Harry had briefed their press spokesman Jason Knauf on what to say to the writers before he met them two years ago.

Morgan has been particularly outspoken when it comes to the Duchess of Sussex. Earlier this year, he slammed Markle over the launch of her children’s book, calling it “absolutely ridiculous”.
