Sex toys for seniors

OK seniors, if you’re like I am, your sex life has probably changed over the years. We were all once young and robust, able to be acrobats and move in any direction with ease. With age, things begin to change.

It’s funny how nature plays a trick on us. When women age, they tend to get dry, and guys can’t always get it up anymore. It’s like your favorite restaurant is closed. You may knock on the door, but you still can’t get in.

Most seniors I know complain of aches and pains, and that they just can’t do what they once used to do. Welcome to the club.  It makes it especially touchy in the bedroom because the things that used to happen effortlessly are problematic now. Am I going to tweak my back? Will my knees hurt? I’m having hot flashes.

But you can still get creative if you give it a try. Sex might not be as goal-oriented as it once was, but it still can be fun.  I will mainly focus on what women tend to use because let’s face it, I’m not a man! I’m sure some of you can weigh in here with other things I may have missed, including things that work well for the male population.

Sexual Lubricants

There are all types of lubricants out there. Some have a sensation of heat in them, some are just designed to facilitate entry. Most women suffer from vaginal dryness as they get older, and this helps.

Vaginal Dilators

These are great for women who have gotten tighter and drier over the years. You can gradually work your way into larger sizes if you are patient and willing to go with the flow so to speak.

Vibrators

These are not just for women. If you have yet to try one of these, give it a go. Some are electric, some are rechargeable, and some just need batteries. The possibilities are endless.  Some are used internally, and some are for external use, depending on your personal preference. Many come with varying attachments depending on what types of things you like to enjoy.

Costumes and Apparatus

Ever played dress-up as a kid? You can still do this in the bedroom. Put on a hat, or a mask, and try some handcuffs, lingerie, feathers, or even a holster if you are into law enforcement. It’s always fun to pretend you are somebody different for your partner and add a little drama and creativity.

So where do you shop for these things? You can go to a sex store if you’d like, or if you have a good idea as to what you want, shop on Amazon or any other online store that carries these sorts of things.
