Appearing in a surprise interview on Ellen this week, Meghan Markle offered more than a glimpse into her private life with Prince Harry, sharing details about their tight-knit little family, sweet home life, and recent Halloween celebrations.
In the interview, Meghan told talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres about one of the last nights the royal couple shared before going public with their relationship. The duo went incognito, dressing in post-apocalyptic outfits, and went out with Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her now-husband Jack Brooksbank.
“The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple,” she explained. “We were able to just sort of have one final, fun night out.”
Meghan went on to reveal in the interview that she and Harry had wanted to create a fun little adventure for their kids Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 5 months, on Halloween last month.
“We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all,” Meghan shared, saying that Archie’s dinosaur costume stayed on for “about five minutes”.
Meghan also added that baby Lili was dressed like a skunk “like Flower from Bambi”. Speaking of Lili, Meghan explained that the new bub is now cutting teeth, saying, “Lili’s now teething … Anything to relieve that.”
To this, Ellen made a silly quip, “Tequila anything.”
“That’s Auntie Ellen for you,” Meghan said with a smile.
“That’s why I don’t have kids,” retorted Ellen.
Ellen also had a bit of fun with Meghan, getting her to do a prank while on the show. You can watch it unfold here:
