Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and niece to King Charles III, is well versed in sharing candid posts that reveal glimpses into her private life.

Having lived he entire life in the spotlight, she has been open about the pressures she faces and the lengths she goes to to maintain balance between her public and private life.

Speaking to White Wine Question Time podcaster Kate Thornton in October last year, she spoke truthfully about starting up her private Instagram account and the pressure she faces when posting to her social media pages.

“I want people to know me because I think there has been so much misinformation and it’s so easy to judge something when you read it in the paper,” Eugenie told Thornton.

She did admit that posting on Instagram was “the most stressful thing in the world”.

More recently however she made headlines after reflecting on the special bond she shared with her late grandfather, Prince Philip.

Speaking in a BBC documentary entitled, Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, the Princess delved into the connection she had with the Duke of Edinburgh and why her eldest son was named after him.

“We named August, August Philip because grandpa had been such a huge, inspiring character in my life,” she said.

She also recalls the touching moment when she introduced August to her beloved grandpa.

“I brought little August to come and meet him and told him that we’d named him after him and it was such a lovely moment. We were very lucky to do that.”

Princess Eugenie also reminisced about the thoughtful wedding present that Prince Philip bestowed upon her and husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Not widely known for his artistic abilities, Prince Philip gave the Princess a handmade painting of flowers.

About the thoughtful gift she said, “It was so nice, it’s now sitting in my house in London and I’m so proud of it, you know?”
