Outspoken television host Piers Morgan has hit out at the equally controversial Prince Harry after he claimed that he didn’t get enough support from his family after dealing with his mother’s death and his time in Afghanistan
Harry made the comments about his mental health in his latest Netflix documentary Heart of Invictus, which explores the lives of injured military veterans who take part in the Paralympic-style Invictus Games
“I can only speak from my personal experience – My tour of Afghanistan in 2011 flying Apaches,” he said.
“Somewhere after that there was an unravelling and the trigger to me was returning from Afghanistan.
“But the stuff that was coming up was from 1997 – from the age of 12.
“Losing my mum at such a young age, the trauma that I had, I was never really aware of.”
The Duke of Sussex then took what many feel was a thinly veiled shot at the Royal Family when he claimed that his “biggest struggle” was having no support from those around him.
“I didn’t have that support structure that network or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me,” he said.
In characteristic style, Morgan fired back at Harry’s claims in a post to Twitter in which he accused the controversial royal of “lying” and “playing the victim”.
????Are recollections varying again? So sick of this spoiled twerp constantly playing the victim – and lying about the support he got. https://t.co/g5QdX58dtc

Morgan’s latest swipe at Harry received a mixed bag of responses from his followers, some agreeing with the former Good Morning Britain host while others urged him to “show some empathy”.
It’s like a broken record, watching this guy twist and turn the truth to fit his narrative

Did you watch the documentary. I mean really watched it. There is so much to talk about. But this is where you are going with.
Not the personal stories from the veterans. The Taira story. Nope this is it. One remark in a 5 part documentary. Wow— Gudrun van Steenbergen (@gudrun250867) August 30, 2023

I just don’t understand why he lies when he knows the truth is on record via his own words from his own mouth. He’s an absolute clown ????

Well Harry did lose his mother under tragic circumstances. Her mental health issues were well documented so why is it inconceivable for Harry not to have genuine mental health issues. Show some empathy and understanding Piers

It should come as little surprise that Morgan took issue with Harry’s recent comments given his ongoing feud with the former royal and his wife, Meghan Markle.
Recently Morgan has even gone as far as to demand that Harry and Meghan apologise to the Royal Family after Harry’s tirade against the Royal Family in a series of tell-all interviews and in his memoir.
Morgan, a self described proud monarchist, had lost patience with the ongoing attacks and called for Harry and Meghan to “plunge to their knees” and “apologise”.
“This treacherous little toad has forgotten that he is supposed to turn into a Prince after being kissed by a spoiled Princess, not the other way around,” Morgan said during a broadcast of Piers Morgan Uncensored.
“Before we even think about whether Harry and Meghan should be allowed anywhere near the coronation, and for me, they absolutely should not be considered for an invitation, one thing would need to happen.
“They’d have to go on national television., plunge to their knees and issue a global apology to their families on both sides who they so mercilessly trashed.”
