Meghan Markle’s conduct during her and Prince Harry’s recent royal tour of Nigeria has sparked controversy, with royal biographer Angela Levin levelling accusations of rudeness against the Duchess.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on a high-profile visit to the African nation following an invitation from Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, but Meghan’s interactions have drawn scrutiny.

In a candid discussion with GB News, Levin expressed astonishment at what she witnessed during Meghan and Harry’s initial appearances in Nigeria. She particularly criticised Meghan’s choice of attire during a visit to the Lightway Academy college, suggesting it was inappropriate for the setting.

“If you go to a school, a very quiet school that is a religious one, you don’t go with a dress that’s absolutely no backing to it at all,” Levin said

However, it wasn’t just a matter of fashion faux pas that drew Levin’s ire. The biographer went on to recount a specific incident where Meghan allegedly displayed what she described as downright rudeness.

“She was very rude, because one of the teachers was talking to her and there were two girls there joining in politely,” she explained.

“She obviously was bored. She looked up in the air, looked around, she then sort of pulled Harry, as she usually does, because she was bored with it.

“She wanted someone who could then take nice pictures of her and Harry, and you think, my goodness, where are your manners?”

Meghan has long drawn the ire of many royal commentators since stepping down from official duties in 2020 alongside Prince Harry.

Most recently she came under fire after she unveiled the inaugural offering from her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Meghan’s brand debuted with a limited collection of 50 jams, dispatched to her circle of friends and influencers across the United States. However, amidst a backdrop of royal health crises, commentator Lizzie Cundy minced no words in her condemnation.

Speaking to GBN America, Cundy blasted Meghan for what she deemed as a lack of relatability.

“I think people are really seeing her for what she is,” remarked Cundy, highlighting Meghan’s alleged detachment from the current struggles faced by the Royal Family.

Cundy’s criticism particularly honed in on the timing of the jam launch, juxtaposed against the health battles of Princess Kate and the King.

” I think she should come out and actually apologise for what she’s done to poor Kate, and maybe not be so insensitive,” she said.

As discussions swirl around Meghan’s actions during the Nigeria tour and the recent unveiling of her brand, one thing remains clear: the debate over royal conduct continues to captivate and divide public opinion.
