When news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis emerged earlier this year, many feared the worst but despite his diagnosis the 76 year old has earned widespread admiration for his commitment to duty and refusal to slow down.

Among those praising the King for his dedication in the face of adversity is royal commentator Ingrid Seward who commended his strength amid his busy schedule.

“King Charles is very keen to make up for lost time,” she told GB News.

“He’s done very little travelling this year because of his cancer scare but they’re very strong.

“These Windsor men, they absolutely can outrun anyone and people that come into the family, for example Camilla finds it hard to keep.

“There’s Charles, who’s got cancer, and he’s been doing all kinds of events.

“He’s now, as we speak, at the Royal Variety Performance as well as doing all his kingly duties and giving a diplomatic reception. I mean, he doesn’t stop.

“He’s 76 and he’s got cancer. We don’t quite know what sort of cancer, but he is doing all these things and Camilla has a chest infection and she’s laid absolutely flat.

“So it just gives you an idea of the energy of the Windsors.”

Seward isn’t the only one to comment on King Charles’ resolve to continue working despite his battle with cancer.

During an appearance at the Queen’s Reading Room Festival on Saturday, June 8, Camilla offered some insight into King Charles’ well-being at the time.

While the Queen revealed to Jack Reacher author Lee Child that the King is “doing fine”, she joked that he “won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told”.

In response to the humorous update, Lee replied, “Sounds to me like a typical husband.”
