Despite ongoing tensions within the ranks of the Royal Family, King Charles remains open to the idea of his son Prince Harry one day returning to the royal fold.

The rift between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family has been ongoing since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020.

Their decision to air their grievances in candid interviews and deliver damming claims against the Royal Family only served to fuel tensions further while garnering intense media scrutiny.

Despite attempts at reconciliation, the wounds remain open, highlighting the complexities and challenges in achieving reconciliation.

However, former Royal Correspondent Michael Cole suggests that there’s still a possibility for reconciliation, with the notion that the “door remains open” for Harry to return home to the royal fold.

During a recent appearance on GBN America, Cole was discussing the “good news” regarding King Charles’ cancer treatment and his return to public duties.

“It’s good news for the King. The doctors are happy with the way the treatment is going, and he’s returning to more public-facing duties, which I know is what he wants to do,” Cole said.

Although things appear to be looking positive for Charles, Coles raised a concern about Prince Harry’s impending return to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

“Of course, there is the Harry problem. He’s coming next week for the 10th-anniversary service of Thanksgiving at Saint Paul’s Cathedral,” he explained.

“I think it will be a key moment because we will see whether the King will receive his son.”

Despite this potential obstacle, Coles maintains confidence in Charles’s willingness to reconcile with his son.

“I think he will see him. I think there’s a good possibility that he will be in town. The King has other duties,” he said.

“And he has always made it clear that his door remains open to his youngest son.”

While Charles may indeed welcome Harry back with open arms, conditions do apply.

“The prodigal is always welcome at home. Of course, he has to be contrite, and he has to ask for forgiveness beforehand, but the King will do that,” Cole explained.

However, what isn’t in the realm of possibility is a reunion between Harry and his brother, Prince William.

“What, of course, will not happen, is that there will be any reconciliation with his older brother, William,” Cole explained.

“Harry and his wife Meghan have not taken any pains to withdraw the unkind, cruel and entirely bogus allegations that they’ve made, particularly against the Princess of Wales now undergoing her own treatment for cancer.

“You would have thought that they might have done that, but they haven’t done it.”

As this royal saga continues to unfold, one thing remains certain: the door to reconciliation may be open for Prince Harry, but the path to healing the rift within the Royal Family is fraught with challenges and conditions.
