‘Know that Australia is embracing you’: Fans rally behind Johnny Ruffo amidst terminal cancer diagnosis

Australian singer and actor Johnny Ruffo revealed earlier this week on August 29, that his half-decade-long battle with brain cancer is terminal.

Announcing the sad news on The Projectthe former Home and Away star has already outlived the three-year life expectancy diagnosis he was originally given.

“At some point, it will get me but I’m still fighting. Still kicking on…I’m already winning. My goal now is to try and help as many people as I can and also live a happy life,” he said.

Fans of the beloved Aussie legend, devastated by the news, rallied behind Ruffo to offer their support, saying he was an “inspiration” to many.

“I’m so proud of you, honestly. Just please remember, that you are loved,” one person wrote.

“You are very strong. You have the power & ability to do anything you set your mind to. You are determined, brave & wonderful. You can do this!!”

“You can fight all of the struggles that come your way. You are stronger than these obstacles. You’ve got this!! Keep pushing through & we will all be right by your side all of the way.”

“What a brave and inspirational young man. Thank you for sharing your story. Sending love and strength and know that Australia is embracing you on your journey,” said another.

“Johnny, keep up the good fight, keep in faith as miracles do happen. You are loved & have an army praying for you. Such an inspiration to many & I look forward to reading your book one day soon.. God bless you always,” commented one person.

“What an inspiration. You deserve everything good that life has to offer. May God bless you as he has blessed all of us for having you on this earth,” someone said.

The entertainer has been keeping himself busy with the release of his book No Finish Line which came out on August 30.

Since announcing the return of his cancer back in November 2021, Ruffo has regularly updated fans via social media as he continues to undergo treatment, thanking his fans and his girlfriend for their endless support.
