Australian singer and actor Johnny Ruffo revealed earlier this week on August 29, that his half-decade-long battle with brain cancer is terminal.
Announcing the sad news on The Project, the former Home and Away star has already outlived the three-year life expectancy diagnosis he was originally given.
“At some point, it will get me but I’m still fighting. Still kicking on…I’m already winning. My goal now is to try and help as many people as I can and also live a happy life,” he said.

Fans of the beloved Aussie legend, devastated by the news, rallied behind Ruffo to offer their support, saying he was an “inspiration” to many.
“I’m so proud of you, honestly. Just please remember, that you are loved,” one person wrote.
“You are very strong. You have the power & ability to do anything you set your mind to. You are determined, brave & wonderful. You can do this!!”

The entertainer has been keeping himself busy with the release of his book No Finish Line which came out on August 30.
Since announcing the return of his cancer back in November 2021, Ruffo has regularly updated fans via social media as he continues to undergo treatment, thanking his fans and his girlfriend for their endless support.
