Anyone who has bought a mattress knows it can mean the difference between a good night’s sleep and a rough day ahead. However, mattresses are not only expensive to replace and difficult to dispose of, but they also seem to attract stains all too easily.

Fortunately, one clever cleaner has come to our rescue, revealing how to eliminate even the grimiest stains for just the price of a flat white.

Facing off against a nasty milk stain, Vicki Collins thought she would have to get rid of her mattress but found a clever way to save her bed.

Collins shared her new technique on Instagram, telling her fans that she thought her mattress was done for, but found this hack instead.

“Wow is all I can say! Game changer! Works on all stains and super easy to do!” she wrote.

In her video, Collins says to make a paste from bicarb soda, white vinegar and soap, then rub the paste into the stain with a cloth.

Next, she says to wait for the paste to dry, then vacuum up the leftover bicarb soda granules.

Fans were quick to applaud her efforts.

“Oh, fantastic hack,” another added.

“Great hack.”

“Wow amazing.”

“I’ll be trying this for a new year refresh!”

It truly is amazing what a few household items and clever thinking can do to keep your spaces spick and span.

Cleaning guru Kacie Stephens is well known for transforming surfaces from bad to rad, and regularly surprises her fans with her ingenious cleaning hacks.

Recently she shared her secret for tackling tough oven stains – and it didn’t require harsh chemicals.

The unsung hero in this domestic hack is none other than a common pumice stone, typically associated with smoothing calloused feet.

Stephens showcased the power of her cleaning hack by effortlessly scrubbing away layers of grime from the bottom of a neglected oven.

“This is a professional cleaner’s tip for removing the build-up on the bottom of your oven,” she said in a video posted to social media.

“A pumice stone or stick is a must have for your cleaning kit whether you’re a professional cleaner or someone cleaning your own home.”

However, the brilliance doesn’t end there, according to Stephens, this unassuming stone isn’t limited to oven duties alone.

“The stone will scrape off build-up in your oven and the limescale on the bottom of a toilet bowl,” she said.

“The alternative to this is a razor blade but this is a much more entry level method… Get yourself one.”

The response from the cleaning community was swift, with users taking to social media to express their gratitude and admiration. “Thank you, you’re amazing,” gushed one user, while another simply declared, “Brilliant!”

While harnessing the power of a pumice stone seems to work wonders, remember to use the stone when it’s wet to ensure a scratch-free cleaning experience.

Caution is key – steer clear of using this non-toxic method on glass and stainless steel. The pumice stone’s abrasiveness, while excellent for certain surfaces, can leave scratches on these materials. Stick to its wet application for porcelain and ceramic surfaces, and you’ll have a cleaning ally that keeps things sparkling without a trace of damage.
