Starts at 60 Daily Joke: A maid asked her boss for a pay rise

A maid asked the lady of the house for a pay rise.

Her boss was annoyed at this and asked: “Now Maria, why do you deserve a pay increase?”

Maria answered, “Well, there are three reasons why I want an increase. The first is that I can iron better than you. Your husband said so.”

The wife looked stumped. “Oh,” she replied.

“The second reason,” Maria continued. “Is that I am a better cook than you.”

“Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?” the woman asked. To which Maria replied: “Your husband did.”

“Oh,” the wife said again, unsure how to respond.

“My third reason is that I am a better lover than you.”

Furiously the wife stood up and pointed a finger at her: “Did my husband say that as well?!”

Maria shook her head innocently: “No ma’am, the gardener did.”

“Oh,” the wife replied once again. “So how much do you want?”
