It’s no secret that Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith are one of the happiest couples in show business, and the sweet pair looked very much in love as they attended a charity gala in New York City on Wednesday night.
Pierce, 65, and Keely, 55, who have been married for 17 years, put on a stunning display as they arrived at the Chemotherapy Foundation’s Innovation Gala.
While the former James Bond star looked dashing in navy-blue suit, it was his glamorous wife who stole the show in a stunning black lace dress. Keely, a journalist and former model, looked sensational in the semi-sheer dress, which she teamed with a simple pair of black heels.
Pierce was honoured at the event with the charity’s Humanitarian Award for his support for cancer research. The Chemotherapy Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the control, cure and prevention of cancer through innovative medical therapies.
Pierce and Keely, who share sons Dylan 20, and Paris 17, regularly pose together on the red carpet, with the actor regularly singing his wife’s praises on social media.
The pair met on a beach in Mexico in 1994, but waited seven years before they tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey, in Ireland. Pierce’s first wife Cassandra Harris, passed away from ovarian cancer in 1991, leaving him a single father to their son, Sean, and Cassandra’s two children from her previous marriage, whom Pierce adopted after their father died in 1986.
The glamorous outing was just the latest public display of love between Pierce and Keely. Just two weeks ago Pierce uploaded an adorable throwback photo of the pair.
“When we were young(er),” he wrote.
Adoring fans were quick to comment, with one writing: “Still a beautiful couple.” Another added: “You both look beautiful and you look even more beautiful now.”
The loved-up couple put on a stylish display last Sunday night as they attended the 2019 Breakthrough Prize at the NASA Ames Research Center in California. Keely turned heads in a glamorous full-length shimmering black gown, while Pierce looked dashing in a classic black tux.
