Dr. Scott Lear is a Professor in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and an international expert on healthy living. With a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a PhD focused on cardiac rehabilitation, Scott has over 25 years working in the clinical and research areas of disease prevention and management and boasts more than 170 research publications.
A lifelong advocate of healthy living, Scott is an avid exerciser who rides his bike to work and can be found swimming in the pool on most days. Scott has two active kids, which keep him busy and his wife, as a dietitian, ensures he is eating properly
In 2017 he was diagnosed with heart disease at the age of 47, which added a new perspective to his work. He began a blog to share his expertise and patient experience to write about issues on maintaining a healthy lifestyle in today’s busy times.
