Keith Lightbody

Keith Lightbody

Keith Lightbody grew up on a farm in Mindijong, Western Australia with a keen interest in nature and flying. His early jobs included working as a builder’s labourer in Townsville, Queensland; a mutton boner in Albany, WA, a trade’s assistant in Dampier, WA; and a landscape gardener in Surfers Paradize, Qld. After university he started as a science teacher at Tom Price before later switching to computing. He has been flying gliders for 40 years. He purchased his first digital SLR camera in 2005 for a holiday around Europe and has since spent a lot of time photographing nature — birds, whales, wildflowers and scenery.
