For the past 44 years, I have set out to educate and inspire older Australians to engage with functional movements that boost bone health. I teach more than 10 fitness classes a week in Adelaide to mostly women aged 60 and over. In my group classes, I teach a diverse assortment of cardio, strength, balance, functionality, mobility, core work and flexibility based exercises. All of these are vital to boosting bone health as we age. I also work on an ad-hoc basis for Adelaide’s Bone Health Foundation.
