About Ian McLean
Until retirement, Ian was a primary school teacher-librarian with the New South Wales Department of Education. A former editor (1998-2002) of a professional journal, Scan, he has blogged regularly since 2008. In Booked Inn: Heroic Adventures in Teacher-Librarianship, Ian strived for a ‘glass half-full approach’. He has presented at conferences about using innovative technology in education. He is a keen science fiction media fan (especially Star Trek) and is working on several picture book ideas and a Young Adult novel manuscript. His current learning adventure, at age almost-61, is undertaking the Diploma of Remedial Massage course with Endeavour College, Sydney.
