About Gregory Powell
Gregory Powell is a 72-year-old retired primary school teacher. He retired in 2010 but continued working as a casual teacher until Covid forced his final retirement in 2021. In his fifty years of teaching, he spent time in National Service, the Blue Mountains and 44 years at Warners Bay Public School, near Newcastle NSW.
He has written 13 books on bushrangers and bushwalkjng and enjoys public speaking engagements on his favourite topics. Greg lives at Valentine on Lake Macquarie with wife Brenda. They have four sons and currently three granddaughters.
