About Bonnie MacGibbon

Bonnie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) at online health program, Health Smart Australia She initially completed a degree in science, majoring in genetics and ecology, before then doing a postgraduate degree in Human Nutrition, followed by Masters in Dietetics. Bonnie’s passion stems from the profound impact that adequate nutrition can have on someone’s overall health, wellbeing and disease prevention and that is why she loves working with clients to improve their quality of life. Bonnie has experience working as a community dietitian in New Zealand, moving around different medical practices, and working alongside other health professionals. Through working in this role, Bonnie gained experience in the area of chronic disease management, such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, malnutrition, as well as irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, pancreatitis and more. She is also a qualified health coach which has added to her skill set in order to provide clients with quality care. Bonnie is particularly interested in gut health and a non-diet approach to improving clients health and wellbeing.
