How to whiten old yellowed bed sheets

If you’ve been buying bed sheets over the years chances are some of them might have turned yellow due to the constant use and also ageing.

It’s very easy to just use chlorine but many have banished chlorine bleach because it can irritate the skin, eyes, and lungs; poison fish and insects; and release carcinogenic dioxins during its production.

Luckily, there is a more natural whiten and refresh your old linens which have yellowed — distilled white vinegar!

Vinegar whitens, freshens and softens fabrics.

All you need to do is add 1/2 to 1 cup of distilled white vinegar along with your regular laundry detergent.

Don’t worry about the vinegar scent — it will dissipate after drying. Vinegar may also be sprayed on spot stains and collar and underarm stains.
