Beaming Camilla shows off two elegant looks on fun day with Charles

They are taking on more and more responsibilities as Prince Charles prepares to take over from his mother, Queen Elizabeth, in the future – but the heir to the throne and his wife Camilla still have time to enjoy fun-filled days together.

The couple continued their visit to Wales on Tuesday with a village festival, horse-drawn carriage rides, river walks and streams of school children waving flags in their honour. And the Duchess of Cornwall took the opportunity to show off more of her wide and varied wardrobe.

Starting the day in a straight chequered knee-length dress, Camilla soaked up some of the long-awaited sun and beamed with happiness on the day out. Adding low-heeled tan shoes, she looked relaxed but elegant for the village festival in Llangwm.

The couple were greeted by shouting kids and families, who they took time to greet and chat to, before spending time with some nearby horses and eventually being treated to a carriage ride. Rather than sitting back on this occasion however, Camilla took the reins and guided the horse herself – clearly loving every second.

Not done there however, they then retired to change clothes, before attending an evening of music and drama at their Welsh home. This time, Camilla upped the fashion stakes and went for a dressier floral knee-length dress and her signature pearl choker, reminiscent of those regularly worn by the Queen herself.

Charles shared loving glances with his wife throughout, and dressed for the evening too in a smart suit and tie.

Charles and Camilla will spend the week in Wales, exploring various aspects of business, farming and heritage businesses in the cities and countryside as they highlight the rural and urban communities that make up the nation.

Later in the week, Charles will put on a garden party that will celebrate another milestone – the 70th birthday of the publicly-funded U.K.-wide National Health Service.

Just hours ago, the Duchess continued her style parade in a fun floral dress as she visited a Welsh bridge being renamed in Charles’ honour to mark his 70th birthday.

The royal couple travelled to see the Prince of Wales Bridge that spans the River Severn between England and Wales. The bridge is the main gateway to south Wales and was, until now, called the Second Severn Crossing.
