Gourmet meals, unlimited alcohol and degustation dinners are just the beginning when it comes to a stay at Lizard Island Resort in the Great Barrier Reef. There are also glass bottom boat cruises, snorkelling tours, as well as spa treatments including yoga and weight management sessions. The Villa accommodation options go for $5,800 per night, twin share.

Sal Salis

Going on a camping trip might be considered a budget-friendly holiday option, but Sal Salis takes camping to a completely new, and very luxurious, level. They have what they call Wilderness Tents which cost $750 per person, per night twin share, and will have you enjoying the remote area of Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife, too, because guests really are right amongst it in this area.
