The last work of the legendary Carrie Fisher has fans in tears

The late great Carrie Fisher felt like she was always destined to play Princess Leia and in a strange way it seems almost fitting that it will be her last role.

Lucasfilms, the production company behind the massive Star Wars films have confirmed that the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be the last time Carrie Fisher will be in the films.  There had been recent speculation that last year’s hit film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had used a younger computer-generated version of Carrie Fisher as well as a CGI Peter Cushing, who died in 1994, that they would use their screen magic for future instalments.  This will not be the case.  Which made her appearance in the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi even more bittersweet.

The trailer was shown as part of Star Wars Celebration which also moved the audience and fans to tears with this heartfelt tribute to Carrie that showed scenes from the film and behind the scenes footage.

Will you see the latest Star Wars film? What was your favourite role of Carries?
