Simon and Garfunkel sing ‘Sounds of Silence’ 45 years after release

The pop duo reunited for a beautiful rendition of their hit song.

When it comes to classic tunes, Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Sounds of Silence’ has to be up there as one of the all-time greats.

Now, footage of the iconic duo reuniting back in 2011 to sing their haunting song has reemerged, showing the two men can still harmonise like the best of them.

Despite their well-documented falling out, it seems that when they’re in the same room together they can’t help but make beautiful music.

Here, they sing Sounds of Silence in perfect harmony like it was the 1960s all over again.

Art Garfunkel has spoken out about their split in the past, essentially blaming Paul Simon for the band’s demise at the height of their fame in the 1970s.

In an interview with The Telegraph in 2015 he said he was angry when Simon walked out on him.

“How can you walk away from this lucky place on top of the world, Paul? What’s going on with you, you idiot? How could you let that go, jerk?” he said.

He continued, “I don’t want to say any anti-Paul Simon things, but it seems very perverse to not enjoy the glory and walk away from it instead.”

Are you a fan of Simon and Garfunkel? Do you remember when they broke up?
