Royal family shares their favourite Christmas biscuit recipe

If you really want to impress your guests this festive season, the royal family have you covered.

The Palace chefs are busy preparing for the festivities with plenty of baking and have revealed some of the family’s favourite treats to enjoy on the special day

One of their most popular recipes are the cinnamon star biscuits — and the royal chefs generously showed us how to create the delicious biscuits from scratch.

On Saturday, the official royal family Instagram shared two helpful step-by-step videos , alongside the caption: “The Royal pastry chefs are excited to share their recipe for ‘Cinnamon Stars’ with you to enjoy over Christmas. #ARoyalChristmas.”

For anyone thinking about making their own cinnamon biscuits, the royal chefs said the festive biscuits will keep in an airtight container for up to two months.

“To all our followers who have been asking, the Cinnamon Stars will keep in an airtight container for up to two months. Enjoy!” they wrote.

The news comes after the Palace revealed a sneak peek of their Christmas decorations, sharing a whimsical photo of a “magical 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir tree on display in St. George’s Hall” in Windsor Castle.

“The trees have been decorated in a Victorian fashion with velvet and gold, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the births of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert,” the royal family captioned the post.

Meanwhile, it comes days after royal insiders revealed the deepest wants of Prince George and Princess Charlotte this festive season.

According to British showbiz magazine Closer, the prince and princess have sent their Christmas lists to Father Christmas. However, four-year-old Charlotte may be left disappointed when she wakes up on December 25 as father Prince William reportedly doesn’t approve of the gift.

The source told the news outlet: “Charlotte takes after Queen Elizabeth and is obsessed with horses. She’s asked for a pony but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she’s too young.”

While Charlotte’s present may be a rather big ask, her six-year-old brother has asked for something far more modest this Christmas. The source added: “George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racquet and a football table.”
