Natural beauty! Sophie Wessex wows in white for rare magazine shoot

Sophie, Countess of Wessex has graced her first magazine shoot, and it’s safe to say she’s a natural!

The mother-of-two looked picture perfect as she posed for the cover of Good Housekeeping in the UK for their October issue in a beautiful white dress. Her hair was swept up into a stylish bun (her usual go-to hairstyle) while she wore minimal makeup and jewellery for the shoot.

Sophie, who is married to the Queen’s youngest son Prince Edward, sat down with the popular magazine to talk about all things social media and raising teens. In the candid interview, the 55-year-old opened up about her children Lady Louise Windsor, 16, and James, Viscount Severn, 12, saying they “aren’t into social media”.

“At the moment, my children aren’t into social media, however, it is here to stay, so it’s important for them to understand it and for us to equip them with the tools to navigate it successfully,” the countess revealed.

She added: “Again, I think openness is one way families can support their teenagers. If children feel they can discuss issues and worries with their parents, without fear of them, or their friends, being judged, this may give opportunity to help them with what can be a complex and very pressured area.”

The countess also spoke to the magazine about the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and Childline — two organisations that she’s the patron of.

“What my work with the NSPCC and other charities has taught me is that young people are extremely resilient and resourceful, but they need an opportunity and a helping hand in order to achieve extraordinary things and overcome hurdles,” Sophie said.

The royal’s magazine shoot comes a month after she stepped out for a solo engagement in Surrey, South East England. Sophie caught up with fellow members of the Bagshot Women’s Institute at a recently reopened English pub, as lockdown restrictions begin to ease across the UK. The 55-year-old looked effortlessly chic for the solo outing, pairing an A-line blush pink skirt with a simple plum-coloured knit jumper.
