The already strained relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry appears to have hit a new low after the latter’s brief visit to the UK in the wake of their father, King Charles’, recent cancer diagnosis.

Sources reveal that Prince William is said to be “privately furious” over the brevity of Prince Harry’s visit.

Upon hearing the distressing news of King Charles’s health, Prince Harry, who has been estranged from the Royal Family for several years, hastily made his way to the United Kingdom.

However, what was expected to be a family moment of support turned into a mere 30-minute meeting between the two brothers, leaving Prince William reportedly upset.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, weighed in on the situation, expressing William’s likely sentiments.

“William would be upset that Harry yet again has chosen to make this visit to see his father a PR opportunity,” she told The Sun.

“As far as William is concerned he has absolutely no interest in speaking to Harry until Harry behaves like a gentleman and apologises for the years of rudeness and slurs he has aimed at William and the Princess of Wales.

“William must be privately furious thinking over all the years how he supported Harry and at this one moment in his life when his 75-year-old father and wife of 13 years are both potentially seriously unwell, all Harry can think about is Harry and using it as an opportunity to announce his arrival and expect to see William.”

Seward concluded by suggesting that Prince Harry’s actions may reflect a self-centered focus rather than a concern for the bigger picture.

“Harry can’t resist an opportunity to think about Harry and not the bigger picture,” she said.

The tension between the brothers has been palpable for years, with Prince Harry choosing to step back from royal duties and moving to the United States with his wife, Meghan Markle. The recent events surrounding King Charles’ health, however, were hoped to be a catalyst for reconciliation.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously expressed optimism that Harry’s meeting with Charles would yield a positive outcome.

“Sometimes benefits can come from difficult times and situations we would never wish on anyone,” he told the Daily Mail.

“The news that King Charles has cancer is a severe shock. It is only natural that Harry should want to be with him. It is also wise that he comes alone as there is a serious rift within the royal family.

“Harry will, despite all the disagreements of past years, naturally want to wish his father a speedy recovery in person.

“Let us hope that from this meeting, at a very difficult time for the royal family with the Princess of Wales recovering from an abdominal surgery, a positive future, which would obviously include Meghan, emerges.

“This might be difficult, as their differences have been so in the public domain, but would benefit everyone involved enormously.

“The main issue for the moment is obviously that of the King’s health, everyone knows how serious cancer can be and will wish this remarkable monarch, who waited longer than any other Prince of Wales to succeed to the throne, a speedy and complete recovery.”
