As the world prepares to mark the one-year anniversary of Newton-John’s passing, her daughter Chloe Lattanzi has opened up about she stays connected with her late mother and how she works to keep her legacy alive.

During a recent appearance on Stellar’s Something to Talk About podcast, the 37-year-old explained how living on Newton-John’s ranch helps her feel her mother’s spirit.

“It’s a place where I feel a tangible, even though I feel her around me in spirit, it’s a tangible place where I feel my mother. Like, I can walk on the soil and be like, her foot was here’,” she said.

“And I can sit on her favourite seat and know that she sat there a thousand times and just visualise sitting on her lap.

“She’s still alive there for me.”

Lattanzi also spoke of how “grateful” she feels to carry on her mother’s legacy in the area of cancer research.

“I want to expand the wellness center, the kind of treatment that people can receive,” she said.

“I’m really grateful that I’m well enough now to continue her legacy.”

In addition, Lattanzi has returned to the studio to pursue her music career, a passion no doubt inspired by her highly successful mother.

“I’m very excited to get out there. I can hear my mum saying, “Get out there girl!”‘ she revealed.

Lattanzi has made a constant effort to keep her late mother’s memory alive, most recently she opened up about the final words her mother spoke to her.

“The last words she could say to me was, ‘My sunshine,’ ” Lattanzi said during an interview with the Today Show.

“And right before she lost her ability to speak, she was making jokes.

“I love my mom more than anything.

“She’s my mama, you know? She’s not Olivia Newton-John to me, but I’m so glad that she was Olivia Newton-John for so many people.”
