A month on from the tragic passing of television presenter Dr. Michael Mosley, fans and those close to him are still working to comprehend the devastating loss of the beloved health and well-being advocate.

Among those mourning his loss are Mosley’s loving family who are working to put their “lives back together” while learning how to move forward without him.

Mosley’s wife, Dr. Clare Bailey, recently shared a heartbreaking update on social media about how the family has been coping since his death.

“We are trying to put our lives back together without Michael and it’s very hard,” she began.

“Not all the time. We can smile and laugh too. As well as comfort each other.

“Grief can feel overwhelming. Light and beautiful. Catch you by surprise. Feel like the weight of a stone or a sharp pain. It changes unexpectedly.

“As people often say, it’s a journey, not all sad and you take each day at a time.

“The extraordinary outpouring of grief and gratitude for Michael and how he has changed so many lives is very moving, including the heartfelt thoughts and kindness extended to us as a family, for which we are incredibly grateful.

“We sincerely hope that we can continue to share his positive message going forward. Because while we are learning to live without Michael, he is ever-present through the lives that he touched and the difference he made.”

The heartfelt update prompted an outpouring of support from fans, many of whom reflected on what an “inspiration” Mosley was to them.

“Michael was such an inspiration to so many of us, and his good work lives on in the lives he changed for the better. We all feel we have lost a friend, and send you and your family our Love and support xx,” one fan wrote.

“I cannot even imagine the depth of the loss you all feel for your wonderful, kind and funny husband and father. He made such a positive impact on so many of us and he was much loved by all his fans.”

“He will be truly missed even from those of us that didn’t know him. We are so very sorry for you and your family but happy that you seeing how admired he was brings some comfort. Thank you for sharing,” commented another.

“Michael is missed by us all. He was truly a wonderful person inspiring us to do things that helped us in our daily lives. His podcasts are brilliant, inspirational. He will live on in our lives. Love to you and your family.”

“So many people are thinking of Michael and you all. He is truly missed.”

After Mosley went missing on the Greek island of Symi, the four-day search for the 67-year-old ended in tragedy after his body was found in a rocky area, according to police.

At the time of the tragic discovery, Mosley’s wife expressed her devastation over the loss of her husband in a statement issued on her behalf.

“It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much,” the statement read.

Following an initial post-mortem examination, it was confirmed that there were no injuries on his body, Greek police spokeswoman Konstantia Dimoglidou told the BBC.

His estimated time of death was around 4 pm local time on Wednesday, June 5th. Mosley had left his friends at Agios Nikolaos beach around 1:30 pm for a walk.

The position his body was found in also indicated that he likely died of natural causes, Dimoglidou said, adding that toxicology and histology reports will be carried out.
