Liam Neeson may be a mega star at the box office, but the Irish actor has a new role in mind: the voice of Stephan Hawking.

As part of Comic Relief’s efforts for Red Nose Day, Neeson has starred in a cheeky video with a host of other celebrities as they audition for the coveted role of Hawking’s new voice.

The renowned physicist has used a computerised voice system since losing his ability to speak due to his battle with ALS, a form of Motor Neurone Disease.

Now, for the purpose of comedy, Hawking has held auditions to replace his computer voice with something a little more flashy.

While Neeson is keeping his hopes high, other celebs auditioning for the role include Gordan Ramsey, Kylie Minogue, Stephen Fry and Miss Piggy.

In the end though, only one could win. While the winner is never shown on camera, his voice is so recognisable it didn’t take people long to pick who it was.

Take a look and tell us if you can pick the winner! Who do you think had the best audition?

Are you a fan of Liam Neeson? Have you followed Stephen Hawking’s career over the years?
