Following the recent release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unofficial royal portraits, popular hosts of The Morning Show, Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies have taken a light-hearted jab at “the Duke and Duchess of BS”.

After noticing that Gillies had arrived at the studio dressed remarkably similar to Markle, the pair couldn’t help but recreate the photo while having a bit of fun in the process.

Gillies took to Instagram to share the side-by-side comparison, much to the delight of fans.

“The Duke and Duchess of BS. That’s my caption,” Gillies wrote alongside the photo.

“Larry’s caption is: ‘At least two men in this photo have played naked billiards in Vegas. And at least two women in this photo would do anything to get the keys to a Castle’.

“I think @larryemdur‘s caption wins.

“Seriously we were a few segments into today’s Morning Show when we realised the fashion similarities. Took us another three segments to get the pic right.”

Fans across the country were quick to join in on the fun, expressing their delight at the photo with some even claiming they preferred Emdur and Gillies over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“This is gold, why on earth does Harry have that stupid smirk & she’s serious!”

“Can I add a caption? ???? Larry and Kylie does it better,” one fan wrote.

“You two are awesome always making me laugh.”

“I believe your tv marriage will last longer than there’s,” another commented.

“I’d take Princess Kylie and Prince Laz over Princess Megs and Prince Haz any day.”

“God save Larry and Kylie.”

The hilarious photo comes in response to Prince Harry and Markle’s recently released portraits that show the couple waiting backstage at the One Young World summit where Markle was a keynote speaker.

In the first image, Markle is draped in red from head to toe as she stares ahead at the camera while the fingers of her left hand cling to Prince Harry’s hand, who is standing behind her giving the camera a smile.

The second image is a dramatic black-and-white shot of the couple standing side by side and holding hands “moments before” they hit the stage.

The motives behind the timing of the photos’ release has come into question given that Buckingham Palace had only days prior released a new official portrait of the Royal Family in which Prince Harry and Markle were noticeably absent.

Taken on the eve of the Queen’s state funeral, the new portrait shows the four Royal Family members alongside each other, dressed in all-black mourning clothes as they hosted world leaders at a reception at Buckingham Palace.

“Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort with Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales,” the caption alongside the photo read.
