Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s ‘beautiful’ mum dies, age 99
Kerri-Anne Kennerley has announced that her “beautiful” mother Grace Isabell Wright has died. Grace was just a few months shy of her 100th birthday.
The 67-year-old former Studio 10 co-host took to social media on Tuesday morning to share the sad news with friends and family. “This morning we lost our beautiful dancing queen, always elegant and graceful,” she wrote, alongside a moving video of her mother dancing. “She is now up there dancing with Dad and John. We will always love you Mum.”

Friends and family were quick to share their condolences, with fellow Aussie personality Patti Newton writing, “So sad for you. Sending prayers and love.”
The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies commented, “… but what a full dance card she enjoyed. Sending love to you and your sis.” And comedian Julie Morris wrote, “Am so very sorry for your loss. What a guiding light.”
Kerri-Anne seemed to be quite close with her late mother, and often uploaded snaps of the two together. In May 2020, Kerri-Anne shared a beautiful snap of herself and her mother, writing, “Mum has been through the depression, World War II, gave a wonderful life to four kids and supported her devoted husband. At 98 her light still shines. Sending my love to the mums and motherly figures out there.”
Her mother’s death comes just two years after her beloved husband John passed away. He was 78 at the time.
