“Want to keep your dishwasher clean and smelling fresh in between deep cleans?” she began.

“Don’t waste money on plastic fresheners – Try this easy hack!

“Drop a denture tablet into the water well under your filter once a week. ✨

“The citric acid and bicarbonate of soda in the tablet will clean, freshen, and loosen limescale without harming your machine.

“It’s affordable and takes just seconds!”

The “brilliant” method was a hit with fans, many offering their appreciation for the advice.

“I swear by doing this,” one wrote.

“Great tip, thanks.”

Denture tablets aren’t just working wonders on dishwashers they also serve a number of other uses around the home.

For instance, home hack queen Anita Birges recently shared her game-changing cleaning hack for getting rid of those stubborn limescale deposits in your kettle using two denture tablets and some water.

Here’s how it works:

  • Fill up your kettle with 4 cups/1 liter of water.
  • Drop in 2 denture tablets.
  • Turn on the kettle and wait for it to boil.
  • Finally, rinse out the kettle.
