She’s been known to wear some pretty wacky outfits in the past and on Monday night, actress Whoopi Goldberg stepped it up a notch in a vivid fuchsia pantsuit at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York.
The 62-year-old comedian certainly took out top prize for the wildest red carpet outfit on the night, blowing the fashion pack’s young stars out of the water with her daring ensemble.
The vibrant outfit, by American designer Christian Siriano, featured a wide belt and puffy sleeves — taking us back to the bigger-is-better styles of the 1980’s. The Sister Act star also added a matching wide-brimmed hat and covered her eyes behind a pair of black-framed sunnies.
The comedian’s tattoos were also on display thanks to the generous neckline on her vivid blouse.

Blanchett wore her hair down in soft waves and added smokey eyes that made a statement without drawing away too much attention from the her outfit. To finish off the ensemble the Ocean’s 8 star added a sophisticated pair of black heels.
Cate has been hitting the red carpet a lot in recent weeks promoting her new movie who. The film is an all-female remake of the classic Oceans series and sees Blanchett team up with Oscar winners Sandra Bullock and Anne Hathaway.
The women come together to pull of an epic jewellery heist and if the reviews are anything to go by, it sounds like a hell of a show.
