She’s the confident host of A Current Affair most Australians have been watching on TV for years and there’s no denying there’s a lot of media interest around Tracy Grimshaw.
While magazines and gossip websites are known for posting unflattering pictures of our favourite stars, the 58-year-old personality decided to beat the paparazzi at their own game when they tried to capture photos of Grimshaw at her family home.
Taking to her Instagram page, the former 20 to One star posted two photographs of herself that were worlds away from the TV star Aussies see on A Current Affair each night. Grimshaw wasn’t wearing any make-up, her hair wasn’t styled or brushed and her jacket was covered in animal hair.
“Paps are in my street again so here’s a free shot of what they’re after: without make up or hair done, looking unkempt and flushed from working, preferably with #restingbitchface, work clothes covered in furkid hair, and maybe some horse snot thrown in,” she wrote. “Now the mags and websites don’t have to pay to have me stalked by strange men to get this pic. I’ll buy a selfie stick so next time I can give you full length, because they like those. Especially from behind. Leave it with me.”

Fans were quick to praise Grimshaw for her bold move. One person on Instagram wrote: “Brilliant @tracygrimshaw007 you are human and natural and BEAUTIFUL! Give those lovely horses of yours a big pat from me! A fellow horse lover who also walks around with horse snot on my clothes.”
A second message read: “You go girl! You look fabulous but it must suck when people with no respect breach your privacy, wonder how they would like it!?”
A third fan added: “Good for you Tracy. I hate having my photo taken even with makeup. You are beautiful. We all look different when we are going about doing our day to day work than when we scrub up & pretty up for the reasons we do. It’s called normal and natural”.
Just weeks ago, she posted another make-up free selfie just hours before walking the Logies red carpet on the Gold Coast.

Grimshaw isn’t the only public figure who has had a run-in with the paps recently. Former deputy PM Barnaby Joyce was involved in an altercation with a photographer outside a church last month. Joyce ended up turning the camera on the photographer and asked him why he wouldn’t respect his privacy.
