Sharon Stone has given a masterclass in how to rock two bold colours in one outfit — and the end result is picture perfect.
While you might’ve heard over the years never to mix two bold colours together in one look, it may be time to put those old-fashioned style rules behind you, as the Basic Instinct actress, 63, looked incredible in a pink-and-orange combo at the weekend.
Sharon attended the AIDS Monument Groundbreaking in West Hollywood, when she stepped out in the colourful ensemble. The actress paired a fitted hot-pink lace midi dress, which featured long sleeves and a high neck, with a pair of bright orange heels. She completed the look with a matching pink-and-orange bag, and wore her signature cropped hairstyle.
Sharon, who has served as the global chair for the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) for 20 years, delivered a passionate speech at the event, saying: “And while we are here in our little neck of the woods creating this memorial. This is a global moment. While we stood here fighting hand in hand, 44 million people died on our watch.”
Sharon’s stylish outing comes less than a month after the actress opened up about an incredible near-death experience, describing the moment she left her body and headed toward the light.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain at the time, the 63-year-old spoke candidly about her brush with the afterlife after she suffered a near-fatal brain haemorrhage and stroke in 2001.
The actress told hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray that she felt herself “being pulled outward and upward” but made a choice to return to her body.
“I had a near-death experience and people discuss these in many ways,” she said. “They discuss them from a scientific perspective and discuss them also from a spiritual perspective. I believe that they are both.
“In my case when this happened to me, I had all of these things that people talk about where you see this kind of light, that you leave your body, that you have this feeling of being pulled outward and upward.”
