Helen Mirren stuns in gorgeous black dress

Helen Mirren’s modest and respectable sense of style has earned her plenty of respect among over-60s.

In fact, for many, her style is somewhat of an inspiration for women over-60.

While some older women such as Susan Sarandon show a little bit of skin and wear some quite ‘out there’ looks, Helen Mirren opts for a more modest style.

Her latest look is earning her plenty of praise.

Last week, Dame Helen stepped out in a glamorous sheer black gown for the Cinema Chicago Spring Gala.

The sheer black lace dress was atop a silver dress underneath, which Dame Helen partnered with a pair of black heels and a simple pair of gold and red earrings with a matching necklace.

She decided to go for a bold accessory, carrying a small golden handbag, which certainly stood out against her black dress.

As we’ve come to expect with Dame Helen, she kept her hair and make-up simple – nothing over done or undone.

Earlier in the week she appeared at another gala, The Stuttering Association For The Young 15th anniversary gala, in New York.

Again her outfit was given rave reviews.

She wore a long sleeve black blouse with a pleated gold skirt, again keeping her accessories, hair and make-up simple.
