A porn star has finally lifted the lid on her alleged affair with US President Donald Trump, sharing shocking bombshells from what she claims was a night of passion involving spanking, flirting and unprotected sex.

Stormy Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes to share her jaw-dropping allegations with Anderson Cooper – and even claimed Trump told her she reminded him of his daughter, Ivanka.

Despite staying silent for years, Daniels, 39, vowed to air her side of the story after an Access Hollywood video emerged in 2016 of Trump making lewd comments about seducing women.

She told the show’s presenter she met Trump at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in July, 2006. Daniels said she exchanged some flirting with the president, before spanking him with a copy of Fortune magazine that had his face on the cover. She claimed the pair headed back to his room where they had unprotected sex – but insisted she wasn’t physically attracted to him at the time.

Elsewhere in the interview, she recalled asking Trump about his wife Melania – who had, at the time, recently given birth to their son Barron, but says he replied: “Oh yeah, yeah, you know, don’t worry about that. We don’t even we have separate rooms and stuff.”

Trump even told her at one point: “Wow, you— you are special. You remind me of my daughter.”

Daniels claimed the dalliance began in his hotel suite. At one point she excused herself to use the bathroom and when she returned the now-president was allegedly “perched” on the edge of the bed.

Asked how she felt at that moment, she replied: “I realised exactly what I’d gotten myself into. And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go.’ And I just felt like maybe — it was sort of — I had it coming for making a bad decision for going to someone’s room alone and I just heard the voice in my head, ‘well, you put yourself in a bad situation and bad things happen, so you deserve this’.”

Daniels insists the alleged affair was consensual, and refused to be labelled a “victim”. She said that despite staying in touch from then on, they never had sex again.

Daniels said her situation made a turn for the worse when she tried to sell her story in the lead up to the 2016 presidential election and claimed she was threatened in a car park by an unknown man, who left her fearing for her life.

“He walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story’,” she told Cooper.

Daniels recently filed a lawsuit against the 71-year-old former Apprentice host, alleging a hush agreement he made her sign is invalid. Daniels claims the president paid her off and forced her to sign an agreement promising to keep details of their alleged affair out of the press. However, the porn star says Trump failed to sign his name to the document and that it should be voided, leaving her free to spill secrets about their relationship.

She claims Trump and his lawyer Michael Cohen became aggressive and attempted to silence her in a bid to protect his presidential campaign.

The porn star says she was paid US$130,000 (AU$166,000) in hush money and forced to sign a document under the alias of “Peggy Peterson”. Trump was used the alias “David Dennison”.

However, Daniels claims Trump never actually signed the document, meaning that any agreement made would be considered void. She later sought permission to publicly talk about the alleged affair and reveal what really happened behind closed doors. Daniels said Trump deliberately neglected to sign his name to the agreement so he could deny knowledge of the document later if needed.

The complaint also claims Daniels was forced into signing a false statement that said her relationship with Trump wasn’t real. Daniels signed the initial hush agreement on October 28 2016, just days before the presidential election. She was told not to disclose any information relating to her alleged relationship with Trump, his other sexual partners and not to share any photos or text messages between the pair.

Asked why she chose to speak out now, Daniels told Cooper on the show: “Because people are just saying whatever they wanted to say about me, I was perfectly fine saying nothing at all, but I’m not okay with being made out to be a liar, or people thinking that I did this for money and people are like, ‘Oh, you’re an opportunist. You’re taking advantage of this’.

“Yes, I’m getting more job offers now, but tell me one person who would turn down a job offer making more than they’ve been making, doing the same thing that they’ve always done?”

What do you think of Stormy Daniels’ claims? Should she have spoken out?
