The recipe was shared to TikTok and shows the user known as @Mama_mila_ whipping up a creamy, delectable mousse in just a few easy steps. But be warned, while it doesn’t involve an extensive ingredients list, it does involve some patience – so don’t make this one if you’re in a rush.

Even though you can whip up the three ingredients in less than 30 seconds, it does take some extra preparation time that involves leaving a can of coconut milk in the fridge overnight. This helps the cream separate from the water so the next day it’s super easy to just scoop out without taking any of the water along with it.

It’s super important not to add the liquid to the mousse as it’ll change the entire texture and stop it from forming altogether. But if you don’t like to waste food, try reserving the water and adding it to a smoothie later! You could also freeze it in ice cube trays!

Next, all you need to do is put the cream in a bowl with 1/2 cup of icing sugar (or about 50 grams) along with a tablespoon of cocoa powder. From there, simply grab the electric mixer and whisk it all for about 30 seconds until you can see the creamy texture forming. You can then serve it up in little bowls topped with your choice of fruit, shaved chocolate or even desiccated coconut to continue with the theme!

The video was captioned “the best Friday night treat” and had commenters going wild for the easy dessert hack with one writing: “This looks amazing. I am always looking for dairy and egg free recipes. Thank you for this one”.
