Meet Raelyn Flatters, the 77-year-old grandmother crowned ‘Australia’s Funniest Boomer’

Earlier this month, ten national finalists were flown to Brisbane for the 2024 Starts at 60 Comedy Festival to compete for the title of “Australia’s Funniest Boomer”.

Today we’re thrilled to share the hilarious performance from Raelyn Flatters, who won the title, along with a mini-suite on an upcoming P&O Comedy Cruise.

“I’m 77 years old and I only do my golf club presentations once a year,” said the emerging comic on winning the prize.

“This is the first time I’ve done anything without notes and it was bloody petrifying!”

“The reason I did this is because I’ve got the three most gorgeous grandkids in the world. I just want to let them know that you’re never too old to get up there, have a laugh at yourself, and have a bit of fun in life.”

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we share more more performances from this fun-filled evening. You can keep in the loop by subscribing to the Starts at 60 daily newsletter here.
