Daily Joke: A man was applying for a new job

Kowalski was fresh out of accounting school and went to an interview for a good paying job. The company boss asked various questions about him and his education, but then asked him: “What is three times seven?”

“Twenty-two,” Kowalski replied.

After he left, he double-checked it on his calculator and realised he wouldn’t get the job. About two weeks later, he got a letter that said he was hired for the job! He was not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but was still very curious.

The next day, Kowalski went in and asked why he got the job, even though he got such a simple question wrong.

The boss shrugged and said: “Well, you were the closest”.

You’re invited to the Starts at 60 Comedy Festival next Thursday— a special one-night-only comedy event especially for over-60s.

This fun-filled evening, held at Brisbane’s iconic Sit Down Comedy Club, is the culmination of Starts at 60’s nationwide search for Australia’s Funniest Boomer, with ten finalists flown to Brisbane to compete for the title live on stage.

Hosted by local Breakfast radio legend Terry Hansen and featuring headline comedian Fred Lang, this will be a wonderful evening celebrating the ups and downs of ageing gracefully (sometimes disgracefully), as lived and filtered (sometimes not-so-filtered) through Australia’s finest Grey Comic voices.
