Just days after sharing a promising health update during his recent guest appearance on the season finale of Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars Johnny Ruffo is ready to shed more light on his personal life in a new, upcoming memoir.
The 34-year-old heartthrob is giving fans an intimate look at his private life as the actor is set to release a new memoir detailing his rags to riches story and his heart-wrenching battle with brain cancer.
Ruffo’s memoir, No Finish Line: The Johnny Ruffo Story, will detail his rise to fame, starting from his modest beginning as a concreter from Balcatta to becoming one of the nation’s much-loved sweethearts.

While the memoir is also expected to highlight the details of Ruffo’s battle with brain cancer, Echo Publishing have also revealed that Ruffo’s drugs and alcohol scandal will be addressed in the book.
Back in 2014, at the ripe age of 24, Ruffo was making headlines after being caught in a cocaine scandal when images of him in his luxury Four Seasons Hotel room in Sydney were taken and published in Woman’s Day magazine.
In the now-deleted photo, the actor was allegedly pictured sitting at a table using what appeared to be a credit card to cut a white powdery substance into neat lines.
While Ruffo refused to comment on the images, it was reported that one of his “friends” revealed to the magazine that “there was so much cocaine there — it was just gross.”
Despite this, Ruffo continued to have two more successful years as the lovable larrikin Chris Harrington on Home and Away, choosing to pursue his bright singing career.

But just three years after making headlines for his drug scandal, Ruffo was faced with another hurdle as news broke that he was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer.
Speaking with Who magazine’s podcast back in 2018, the actor recalled the terrifying ordeal, revealing that his girlfriend saved his life by rushing him to the hospital after he complained of a painful migraine.
Despite a period of remission, Ruffo’s brain cancer returned.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned; though I will dig deep and beat this shit disease again,” he wrote in a heartbreaking announcement on Instagram back in 2020.
Ruffo has continued to share regular updates on his social media and continues to remain positive about the outcome of his journey.
His memoir is set to be released in September of this year.
