They’re one of the most grounded families in Australia but Robert Irwin has revealed older sister Bindi Irwin has a diva side.

In a hilarious live video shared to Facebook ahead of the premiere of their new Animal Planet show Crikey! It’s the Irwins, 14-year-old Robert, 20-year-old Bindi and mother Terri, 54, sat down to answer some questions from fans about Australia Zoo, their life and creature comforts.

During the Q&A, one fan asked the family if there were any American foods, music or items they couldn’t get in Australia.

“How much time have you got?” Terri, a native American, said. The moment can be viewed at around the 18-minute mark in the video below.

Bindi looked as though she was about to explain something when her little brother butted in.

“I know you like the Charmin,” Robert said, causing Terri to burst into laughter.

Charmin is a brand of toilet paper sold in the United States that isn’t available in Australia. Horrified, Bindi could be seen covering her mouth in shock.

“You didn’t have to tell the whole world that,” she said, trying not to giggle.

“Yes, we come here for toilet paper,” Terri joked.

Embarrassed, Bindi went on to explain why she loved the specific brand of toilet paper so much.

“So your toilet paper is really soft here but I don’t think maybe we could have not said that on live Animal Planet Facebook feed, but that’s cool,” she said.

Terri admitted that Bindi ships her favourite toilet paper from America to Australia “by the box load”. Bursting into laughter again, Terri also admitted the lengths people go to so Bindi can go to the toilet in comfort.

“And it’s funny too because people send it to Bindi,” Terri laughed.

“It’s her favourite birthday gift,” Robert joked.

“She asks for it,” a hysterical Terri continued. “When people ask, ‘what do you want for your birthday?’”

Bindi then went on to explain that she specifically asks her American relatives for the toilet paper for birthdays and special occasions.

“My aunt texted me from Oregon and she said, ‘What would you like for your birthday?’ And I love cards because I love writing to people so I asked her for cards and toilet paper.”

Terri joked that Christmas was coming, before Robert tried to change the subject by admitting he is a fan of Twinkies.
