She hasn’t been an official member of the royal family for more than 20 years, but Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson still turns heads wherever she goes and she once again stole the show when she stepped out in a fabulous gown recently.

The Duchess of York, 59, put on a stunning display in a figure-hugging sheer gown as she attended the Butterfly Ball in London on Thursday night.

Sarah looked incredible in the floor-length gown which featured sheer lace sleeves and a stunning gold embroidered bodice, which added a very regal effect to her outfit.

She previously wore the standout look to a gala earlier this year. For Thursday, the mother-of-two wore her luscious red locks in soft waves and accessorised with simple gold jewellery.

Fans were quick to comment on her stunning appearance, with one writing: “Such a lovely gown on a lovely woman.”

Another added: “This gown is gorgeous! You look stunning!”

And a third wrote: “Lovely to see you always wearing your smile! You look stunning!”

The 59-year-old attended the event to show her support for the fundraising gala dinner, which aims to raise money for disadvantaged children.

This isn’t the only good cause she supports. Earlier this year, the duchess showed her support for World Cancer Day by sharing a touching post on social media about the deadly disease. She also wrote about her pride at being a supporter of the Teenage Cancer Trust both in the UK and the US.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “On World Cancer Day, I am thinking of friends and family who have been affected by this terrible disease. I have been a proud supporter of @teenage_cancer and its founders Dr Adrian and Myrna Whiteson since 1990 and @teencanceramerica and now Beatrice and Eugenie are too. Together we can help more people beat cancer.”
